Three festivals in one week!

We’re delighted to say that we’ve been a big part to play in bringing smiles to hundreds of thousands of festival punters at this year’s Glastonbury Music Festival. Video Europe supplied two of our highest spec, state-of-the-art, outside broadcast trucks for the event along with seven Sony HDC-4300 cameras and 18 crew, to record screen coverage direct to our client, Glastonbury Festival. Trucks OB5 and OB7 were the workhorses behind Glastonbury’s most visited stages, the Pyramid Stage and Other Stage where we covered artists such as Kylie Minogue, The Cure and Stormzy, over three sunny days at Worthy Farm. We can’t wait to be back there again next year.

OB5 went almost straight to Manchester from Somerset (well, via Uxbridge for a much needed wash and brush up after it’s week camping at Glasto) to livestream the opening of the Manchester International Festival on Thursday 4th of July. Adding to the line-up of legends that we covered in one week, the grand opening featured Yoko Ono and the people of Manchester, ringing their bells for peace. You can watch it here on BBC iPlayer.

Many thanks go to Creative Broadcast Solutions for hiring us for this auspicious event.

OB7, post Glastonbury, made it’s way to Hyde Park where we were hired by Nineteen Fifteen Productions to cover The Great Oak stage at British Summertime. We supplied OB7 with eight Sony 4300’s to cover Celine Dione on Friday, Lionel Richie and Steve Wonder on Saturday and Bryan Ferry and Barbara Streisand on Sunday, all in glorious 4K.

It’s been an amazing ten days and thanks goes to our clients for making us part of these fantastic productions.
